Three guarantees

01

True redaction

The original text no longer exists in the file. Not hidden behind a black box: removed from the PDF itself. Copy-paste the output, nothing masked comes back.

02

Zero storage

CVs are processed in memory and never written to disk. Nothing to leak, nothing to subpoena, nothing to forget to delete. GDPR-friendly by design.

03

Layout untouched

Same file, same typography grid, same pagination. Replacements are fitted to the original boxes. Compare both versions side by side before you download.

Questions

Is it really GDPR-compliant?

Yes, structurally: CVs are processed in memory and never stored. The only persisted data is your account, quota and (on Agency) your brand kit. The candidate's data leaves no trace on our side.

How is this different from drawing black boxes?

A black box is a layer on top of the text: anyone can copy-paste underneath it. BlindCV uses true PDF redaction: the characters are removed from the file's content stream, then a generic replacement is typeset in their place.

What about scanned CVs?

Scanned PDFs have no text layer, so surgical redaction has nothing to operate on. They are refused with a clear message today; OCR support is on the roadmap.

Will the output pass ATS parsers?

Yes. The output is a real text PDF with standard fonts and a clean reading order, which is exactly what ATS parsers extract best.
